This one has lots of fun events for everyone, whether two or four legged, and it's free. It starts off with the Dog Trot Fun Run at 9:30 followed by live entertainment, Skyhoundz Disc Dog Championships, a petting zoo, the 'Unleashed' pet contests, agility areas, a noon pet parade, giveaways and lots of activities to keep both humans and pets entertained. Various rescue groups, including SPDR, will be on hand to help you find a new best friend and answer questions about responsible pet care. Furry 5K Fun Run & Walk - Sunday, June 9th from 8:00 - 1:00 at Seward Park in Seattle
Funds raised help support the Seattle Animal Shelter. Enjoy visiting the various vendors and rescue groups before and after the run/walk (which begins at 10:00). There will be contests and prizes awarded too.

Everett Mutt Strut - Saturday, August 10th from 10:00 - 2:00 at Langus Riverfront Park ( 400 Smith Island Road, Everett)
Celebrate the dog days of summer at this wonderful outdoor event for dog lovers and their buddies. Activities include a community dog walk, displays, lectures, competitions, prizes and vendors. Harbor Hounds - Saturday, September 14th from 10:00 - 3:00 along the waterfront in between Donkey Creek Park and Skansie Brothers Park in Gig Harbor
This is Gig Harbor's four legged social event of the season. Proceeds from this charity dog walk benefits the Purdy Prison Pet Partnership Program and the many charities supported by the Gig Harbor Midday Rotary Club. Rescue groups and vendors will be set up in both parks.
