As a registered Washington State Charity and 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, SPDR is supported solely and entirely by donations. Your tax-deductible contribution helps us place hundreds of dogs into new homes each year.

When you make an online donation, please include a note in the “Comments” field about the purpose of your donation, e.g., adoption donation (specify the breed), in memory of a dog or person, or to support a specific breed (or dog).
NOTE: if you do not include a note that specifies a the type of breed (whether for an adoption donation, or in honor or memory of a person or dog), we won't be able to collate it with a specific breed rescue fund, and your donation will be placed in the General Fund. Adoption Donations and In Memory Donations, versus General Fund Donations
Adoption Donation:
When you adopt a dog, you will make an adoption donation to that specific breed. You can also donate to a specific breed at any time (in memory of a dog, in honor of a friend or family member, or just to support a breed of dog you love).
Adoption donations go towards dog-related expenses, including the initial intake vet visit, spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, other medical needs, and/or training.
General Fund Donation:
SPDR’s General (Operational) Fund provides the money to support the rescue of ALL breeds.
General fund donations go towards services that include a 24×7 message line, public educational booths, our website, training materials, printing, and postage.
